Thestoryso far.
It started at school with Unreal, Unity, XNA, Flash and C++: an engine of my own, a werewolf game, zombies, and a 2013 capstone where any surface could be the floor.
That capstone is back, rebuilt to play in the browser, along with Minecraft mods and a whole site of games. Pick a stage, or just scroll.
Where it started
School and side projects in Unreal, Unity, XNA, Flash, C++ and TypeScript. Before the browser games, there were engines, werewolves and zombies.
An engine written from the ground up, a five-week XNA flight game, a Flash survival game that still has a successor, and a shooter played with your hands.
The capstone
Escher Plex, in Unreal Engine 3.A capstone where any surface could be the floor.
The original Escher Plex was my capstone project, made to challenge every level of player. You navigate a series of rooms, and to keep it a real challenge I let the player walk along any surface. That turned into an interesting mechanic and a fun one to design for.
The game includes one of M.C. Escher's more famous ideas, an endless staircase, as well as moving walls and platforms.

Five cookies
Fresh Cookies, a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.6.4.Vanilla Minecraft gives you one cookie. Fresh Cookies fixes that.
The original was a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.6.4: five cookies with their own art, a furnace-like sun table, two new trees, a peanut plant and grape vines. These are the update screenshots from that first version.

The Grid
The Grid, three canvas games in TypeScript with a high-score server.Three games on one grid, and a server to keep the scores.
The Grid was a small collection of canvas games on an engine of my own in TypeScript: Grid, a race to the flag past the red squares; Zombie Survival, on a road map; and Memory, 36 cards to match by colour. An Express and socket.io server kept the high scores, three initials each.
In 2026 the three became Grid Run, Zombie Grid and Memory Grid on playallday.games, each with its own leaderboard.
Then and now
Escher Plex, rebuilt in three.js to play in the browser.Walk up the walls and across the ceiling. Now in your browser.
Escher Plex is a first-person puzzle game about gravity. Pick up the magnetic boots in the training room and any metal surface you walk into becomes the floor: walls, ceilings, the underside of a moving platform.
The 2026 remake is built from scratch in three.js and TypeScript, with a gravity walker of its own (a capsule controller that carries its own up vector) instead of a physics engine with a fixed down. The levels are rebuilt as data, using the original Unreal maps as the reference.
